Liverpool, NY is a village in the town of Salina about 5 miles Northwest of the City of Syracuse, New York. Salina is actually the suburb, however many refer to Liverpool NY as a suburb as well. It was named after the city of Liverpool in England.


It takes up most of the Northeastern shore of Onondaga Lake. Onondaga Lake Park is one of the most familiar settings in Liverpool. It is known for its several trams that travel the length of the park and draws in millions of visitors every year. Liverpool is a delightful community with specialty shops, fine restaurants, lakeshore trails and a friendly atmosphere.


Liverpool New York’s population is about 2600 and is on 1 square mile of land. It is only 6 miles from the Syracuse Hancock International Airport. The two zip codes in Liverpool are 13088 and 13090. The communities include Bayberry, Dominion Park, Jewell Manor, Liverpool, and Salina.

Liverpool is home to (9) nine strategically placed elementary schools; Chestnut Hill, Donlin Drive, Elmcrest, Liverpool, Long Branch, Morgan Road, Nate Perry, Soule Road and Willow Field Elementary. There are (3) three middle schools, Chestnut Hill, Liverpool and Soule Road Middle School and (2) high schools, Liverpool High Annex – (9th graders) and Liverpool High School (grades 10 – 12th).


The Gleason Mansion houses the Liverpool Village Museum as well as the historian’s office; it is listed on the State and Nation Registers of Historic Places. The historian regularly gives tours to organizations and local schools exhibiting its many artifacts, photographs and data relating to the people, places and events of Liverpool.


The Liverpool Willow Museum, on the lawn of the Gleason Mansion observes the weaving industry that supported the village for many years. It is open in the summer from 2-4 pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Liverpool is a wonderful place to call home.
